Pushing this button actuates a valve located prior to the inspiration port of the anesthesia apparatus
which delivers approximately 15-18 l/min. of oxygen flow to the patient's breathing circuit. This
provides for quick oxygenation, while by-passing the anesthetic vaporizer and any other medical
gases.
14. Breathing Bag Mount
Connection for the breathing bag when using the EX3000 in a rebreathing circuit configuration.
15. Breathing Bag (Reservoir Bag)
An inflatable rubber bag which allows the accumulation of fresh and expired gas during patient
exhalation so that a reservoir of gas is available for the next breath. The bag also acts as a safety
device to prevent rapid pressure increases in the breathing circuit. The bag is manually squeezed
during surgery to assist in patient breathing.
16. Stand Assembly
Consists of a 5-pointed star shaped polished aluminum base with casters for stability, safety, and ease
of movement; and a chromed steel pole (36 or 40 inch standard).
