Filling the Anesthetic Vaporizers – Key Fill
Note: The optional key fill feature on the EX3000 ensures that only the correct anesthetic agent is
allowed to fill its corresponding vaporizer.
1. Clean any hair or debris from around the filler port with a clean cloth.
2. Place a clean cloth beneath the anesthetic filler port.
3. Remove plug from the keyed filler port see Figure 4-3.
4. Unscrew the locking screw counterclockwise.
5. Insert the keyed filler connector from the appropriate anesthetic container into the key fill body.
6. Allow the anesthetic agent to flow into the filler port.
CAUTION!
7. Observe the agent level indicator on the system display. Stop filling when the indicator bar reaches
the top of the indicator (see Figure 4-2).
8. Remove the filler connector and insert the plug into the keyed filler port.
9. Tighten the locking screw clockwise hand-tight.

If anesthetic agent spills on system surfaces, allow it to evaporate. Rubbing
spilled anesthetic agent with a cloth may damage the system finish.
