Cooling system
System top-up instructions
•
Fill the system up to a level ranging be-
tween the MIX and MAX levels indica-
ted in the expansion tank filler.
•
Do not close the expansion tank with
the cap.
Recommended products
AGIP PERMANENT SPEZIAL Coolant
Biodegradable coolant, ready for use, with "long
life" technology and characteristics (pink). Freez-
ing protection up to -40°C. According to CUNA
956-16 standard.
•
Use a transparent flexible hose to con-
nect the bleed pipe union with the ex-
pansion tank filler .
•
Loosen the bleed pipe and start the en-
gine.
•
Keep it open until the air has been fully vented.
•
Screw the bleed screw again.
•
Stop the engine.
•
Restore the level into the expansion tank and tighten the cap.
•
Start the engine and leave it running to warm up until the electric fan triggering temperature
is reached.
•
Shut off the engine.
•
Restore the level with cold engine.
CAUTION
THE ELECTRIC FAN IS CONTROLLED BY THE TEMPERATURE MEASURED AT THE HEAD.
THAT THE ELECTRIC FAN STARTS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE PURGE HAS BEEN COMPLE-
TED.
PURGING IS COMPLETE WHEN THE EXPANSION TANK TEMPERATURE RISES.
