Removing the valves

- Using the appropriate tool fitted with an adapter,
remove the cotter pins, plates, springs and valves.
Specific tooling
AP0276474 Valve spring compressor adaptor
CAUTION
ARRANGE THE VALVES SO AS TO RECOGNISE THEIR ORIGINAL POSITION ON THE HEAD
(FLYWHEEL-SIDE AND TRANSMISSION-SIDE).
- Remove the oil seals with the specific tool.
Specific tooling
020431Y Valve oil seal extractor
- Remove the spring supports.
NOTE
BLOW THE SEATS WITH COMPRESSED AIR
TO FACILITATE REMOVING THE SPRING SUP-
PORTS.
