Engine
- Remove the washer.
- Insert the nut again so as to slightly uncover the
shaft and free the space previously occupied by
the washer.
CAUTION
THIS OPERATION IS REQUIRED AS THE FLY-
WHEEL IS STRONGLY LOCKED; IF THE CONE
GETS DETACHED, THIS MAY CAUSE THE RO-
TOR TO FALL, AND CONSEQUENTLY THE
MAGNETS MAY BREAK.
- Fit the specific extractor.
- Using a 27-mm wrench and a 19-mm bushing,
release the flywheel.
Specific tooling
020467Y Flywheel extractor
- Remove the extractor.
- Remove the nut and slide off the magneto fly-
wheel with the starting ring gear.
- Remove the key from the crankshaft.
