Specifying a Destination MAC Address for BPDUs

By default, Dell Networking OS uses a Dell Networking-unique MAC address for tunneling BPDUs. You can configure another value.
To specify a destination MAC address for BPDUs, use the following command.
Overwrite the BPDU with a user-specified destination MAC address when BPDUs are tunneled across the provider network.
CONFIGURATION mode
protocol-tunnel destination-mac
The default is 01:01:e8:00:00:00

Setting Rate-Limit BPDUs

CAM space is allocated in sections called field processor (FP) blocks.
There are a total of 13 user-configurable FP blocks. The default number of blocks for L2PT is 0; you must allocate at least one to
enable BPDU rate-limiting.
To set the rate-lime BPDUs, use the following commands.

Create at least one FP group for L2PT.

Save the running-config to the startup-config.

Set a maximum rate at which the RPM processes BPDUs for L2PT.

The default is: no rate limiting.
The range is from 64 to 320 kbps.

To debug Layer 2 protocol tunneling, use the following command.
Display debugging information for L2PT.
