Installing the Software License Key
Switching Routing/IPMUX Modes
A software key is required to enable the Model 1002 and Model 1004 router for
features (such as IPSec VPN)
reseller or Tasman Networks. You will be asked to provide the serial number and model
number. This key is different than the port activation key.
To install the software licence key to enable
1002 and Model 1004 router, issue the following command:
Tasman# system licenses advance_vpn
You will be prompted to enter the advance_vpn licence key that you received from Tasman
Networks.
To switch between IPMux and dynamic routing modes, a valid software license must be
installed on the Model 1002 and Model 1004 router. Contact Tasman Networks (1-866-4TASMAN)
and provide the serial number for the router.
Switching to IPMux Mode
To switch from dynamic routing to IPMux mode, issue the following command:
Tasman/configure# no system routing
A message is displayed warning you to issue the save local command before the router reboots
and you must confirm that you want to change to IPMux mode. Enter Y and press the Return
key. The Model 1002 and Model 1004 reboots into IPMux mode.
Switching to Routing Mode
To switch from IPMux to dynamic routing mode, issue the following command:
Tasman/configure# system routing
A message is displayed warning you to issue the save local command before the router reboots
and you must confirm that you want to change to routing mode. Enter Y and press the Return
key. The Model 1002 and Model 1004 reboots into dynamic routing mode.
