b) Naphtha cracking furnace

This is the first process in a petrochemical facility, in which the Naphtha supplied from the petro-
leum refinery is heated and cracked to produce a variety of products. There will be not just one
but rather anywhere from six to twelve fired heaters, each with its own stack.
