Difficult Measurement Applications

a) Glass melting furnace (in-furnace gas)
Oxygen concentration in glass melting furnace stacks can be measured with no problems the
same as in other general combusion exhaust gas applications.
Glass melting furnace (stack): Temperature 0 to 600°C

On the other hand when we come to measurement of the gas inside the furnace, continuous
measurement with a direct in-situ zirconia oxygen analyzer (high-temperature system) is either
extremely difficult or impossible due to the dust and fumes from the components of the glass.
However, since continuous measurements are being performed in some cases by the method
shown in the diagram, we offer this for your reference.
