Preparation
– For the operation with COMfortel Xtension300 key extension modules: network mains
outlet
Note: The telephone can be operated not only on an internal S
port on the PBX. Only one telephone per U
instructions of the PBX.
Warning: Liquid entering the casing can cause life-threatening electric shocks and
damage or destroy the telephone.
• Only operate the telephone in closed, dry rooms.
Caution: Mechanical stress and electro-magnetic fields can result in the damage
or destruction of the device or impairment of its functions.
• Avoid mechanical loads (e.g. vibrations).
• Avoid the proximity of devices which radiate electro-magnetic fields (for exam-
ple, radio sets, professional radio equipment, amateur radio equipment, mobile
phones, DECT systems, WLAN routers, etc.).
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight.
• Protect the device from dirt, excessive dust, condensation, caustic liquids, and
steam.
• Note the values for ambient temperature and humidity given in the technical
data.

Assembling the Telephone

Place the telephone on a clean, flat surface.
Caution: Some paints or plastics used on furniture may react chemically with the
plastic feet on the device and cause them to soften. Plastic chemically changed in
this way on the feet of the device may cause damage to the surface of your furni-
ture.
• Place the telephone on a non-slip pad.
