This section describes the initial commissioning of the telephone and the answering machine
on the COMfortel 2600. After a successful commissioning, you will be able to make calls. You
can adjust the telephone and the answering machine using the PC configuration described
at the end of this section.

Commissioning the Telephone

Requirements
PBX switched on (connected to the mains)
The internal telephone number for the telephone entered in the configuration on the
internal S

Note: Only connect one ISDN device for each internal subscriber telephone number to
your PBX.
For operation with COMfortel Xtension300 key extension modules: the wall wart type no.

For operation without COMfortel Xtension300 key extension modules: the bridge plug is
inserted into the socket marked with
For the operation as system telephone: PBX according to the proper use (see Important
Information > Proper Use)
1.
Insert the plug of the ISDN cable included in the package into the socket marked with
on the bottom of the telephone.
2.
Insert the other ISDN cable plug into the ISDN socket connected to the PBX.
3.
If required, insert the wall wart type no. FW7577/EU/40 into a freely accessible mains
socket.
The telephone starts up. In the meantime, the Auerswald company icon is shown on
the display.
The menu for language selection is displayed.
4.
Tap on the desired language.
5.
Use the keypad to enter the internal telephone number previously configured in the PBX.
6.
Complete the entry:
