CONTROL P ANEL / K EY P AD R EPLACEMENT
When r eplacing t he c ontrol p anel/key p ad, a lways u se a n E SD
safe-­‐work a rea. A lso, u se a n E SD w rist s trap t o p rotect e lectronic
circuitry.
1. Remove t he f ront a nd r ear c over p er t he H OUSING R EMOVAL s ection o f t his m anual.
2. Remove t he P SA s ystem p er t he P SA R EMOVAL s ection o f t his m anual.
3. Remove t he c ontrol p anel/keypad f lex c ircuit f rom t he Z iff ( zero i nsertion f orce) c onnector
by c arefully l ifting u pward o n t he l ocking t abs. T his i s c onnection J 8 f or t he F reeStyle a nd
connection J 9/J10 f or t he F reeStyle 5 .
4. Remove t he f lex t ab c ircuit f rom t he r ib g uides, a nd p eel o ff t he c ontrol p anel/keypad f rom
the c enter e nclosure.
5. Replace c ontrol p anel/keypad w ith t he n ew c ontrol p anel / k eypad.
6. Check r ecessed a rea o f e nclosure c enter s ection t o e nsure t hat t he p lastic i s c lean.
7. Remove t he a dhesive b acking a nd s eal b acking f rom t he n ew c ontrol p anel/key p ad.
