LOW B ATTERY A LARM
As t he b attery p ack p ower a pproaches a l ow l evel, a b rief a larm s ounds i ntermittently a nd t he
yellow 2 5% b attery g auge i ndicator l ight w ill i lluminate i ntermittently. W hen t his o ccurs,
connect t he F reeStyle o r F reeStyle 5 t o a n A C o r D C p ower o utlet, o r c hange t o a n a lternate
oxygen s ource.
When c onnected t o A C o r D C p ower, t he c oncentrator w ill o perate w hile r echarging t he b attery
pack.
CANNULA D ISCONNECT
When a FreeStyle or FreeStyle 5 is operating but does not sense breathing, a constant alarm
sounds, a nd t he a larm l ight i lluminates a fter 1 5 m inutes. I f t his o ccurs, c heck t he c onnection f rom
the c annula t o t he u nit, m ake s ure t hat t he n asal c annula i s p ositioned p roperly o n y our f ace, a nd
ensure that you are breathing through your nose. If the alarm continues to sound, change to
another s ource o f o xygen a s a vailable, a nd c ontact y our E quipment P rovider.
BREATH R ATE E XCEEDED
If y our b reathing r ate c auses t he c apacity o f u nit t o b e e xceeded, a r apid a larm s ounds e very ½
second, a nd t he a larm l ight i lluminates r ed i ntermittently. W hen t his o ccurs, t he c oncentration
of oxygen that the unit is supplying is outside of the unit specifications. You should reduce any
physical activity, reset alarm by turning unit off and back on, and then if necessary change to
another s ource o f o xygen a s a vailable, a nd c ontact y our E quipment P rovider.
GENERAL M ALFUNCTION
If a F reeStyle o r F reeStyle 5 h as a g eneral m alfunction, a r apid a larm s ounds e very ½ s econd, a nd
the a larm l ight i lluminates r ed c ontinuously. W hen t his o ccurs, t he c oncentration o f o xygen t hat
the u nit i s s upplying i s b elow u nit s pecifications. Y ou s hould c hange t o a nother s ource o f o xygen
as a vailable, a nd c ontact y our E quipment P rovider.
