Additional tools are included with EnerVista Viewpoint Engineer Tools that facilitate
debugging of the application. These include the following.
Forcing of input variables.
Simulation of analog values.
Live logic showing intermediate logic states and outputs of timers, counters, and
other operators.
Live analog function blocks with output values.
Run-time errors are detectable during execution and are summarized in the following
table. A message is written to the automation event record on detection of an error. There
is also a FlexLogic™ operand associated with each message type. Any virtual analog
outputs associated with a math error will not be updated. Execution of the logic is not
suspended otherwise.

A protection FlexLogic™ equation can contain up to 512 entries, including the
operator. If a disabled element is selected as a FlexLogic™ entry, the associated state flag
will never be asserted (set to logic 1).
Select the Settings > Protection > Protection FlexLogic > FlexLogic Equation Editor
menu item to open the protection FlexLogic™ equation editor window.
Description
existing logic or math operator.
One or more of the inputs to an operator has no
connection.
The compiled result exceeds the limit for the
number of lines.
The number of operators of a particular type has
exceeded the maximum allowed.
An analog variable (physical, shared, or virtual) or
constant has been assigned to an operator input
that expects a digital variable (physical, shared,
or virtual) or vice-versa.
An input symbol is not recognized by the current
order code or firmware version.
A virtual analog output has no connection to its
input.
A virtual digital output has no connection to its
input.
Description
The automation scan time exceeded the
expected time.
