The Model 5070 megohmmeter is a top-of-the-line measuring instrument, portable,
in a rugged housing with a graphic display. It is capable of operating from internal
battery or line power.
Main Functions:
• Automatic detection and measurement of voltage/frequency/input cur-
rent
• Quantitative and qualitative insulation measurement
− Measurement at 500/1000/2500/5000V
between 40 and 5100V
− Measurement in voltage step mode (the applied voltage increases in
steps)
− Automatic calculation of DAR/PI and DD (dielectric discharge index)
quality ratios
− Automatic calculation of measurement result referred to a reference
temperature

This megohmmeter helps ensure the safety of electrical installations and equip-
ment. The operation is controlled by a microprocessor for data acquisition, pro-
cessing, and display of measurements and the storage and printing of results.
