Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.2.
Configure the number of fast advertisements that can be missed by a backup router
before the master router is declared as down.
NOTE:
The advertisement value configured using the
global-advertisements-threshold
Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) groups in the system.
Setting the advertisement value of the
configuration to
aggressive advertisement interval. For example, if you have 1000 VRRP
groups with an advertisement interval of 100 ms, then do not set the
global-advertisements-threshold
Changing the advertisement value of the
configuration during runtime can result in unpredictable behavior by the
VRRP state machine. For example, momentary ownership change from
the master router to the backup router and vice versa. Therefore, avoid
changing the advertisement value of the
statement during runtime.
