Upgrading Both Routing Engines and Rebooting the New Backup Routing Engine
Manually
In certain circumstances, you might want to install the new software on only one Routing
Engine and reboot only the master until after you can test the new software. A Routing
Engine does not start running the new software until after it is rebooted.
The advantage is if the results of your testing requires you to downgrade the software,
you can switch Routing Engines to run the old software on one Routing Engine and then
install the old software on the other Routing Engine. This is not the typical scenario.
