How to UnZip the downloaded Zip file
The downloaded file is a compressed merged file. Extracting the merged files can be performed using the software program WinZip.
1. Click the downloaded file R32...... and press the right button on the mouse. (image 14-9)
The select window displays a various of possibilities to extract the zip file.
2. Click "Extract to folder D\..........."
The Zip file will be extracted, as a sub directory, in the directory where the downloaded Zip file has been saved.
3. Click the sub directory to display the extracted files.
The following files become available:
-
RlmG5.101.txt: file contains version information and installation procedure.
-
RlmG5-Performer.101.bin: source file
-
CodeControl.exe: download program

How to update the projector software?
1. Switch the projector into StandBy mode.
2. Double click "CodeControl.exe" to start the download program. (image 14-10)
A dialog window opens asking to fill out the following parameters:

Projector address (2)
-
Communication parameters, port (3) and Baudrate (1)

Source file (4)
3. Set the projector address. (For a switched on projector, the projector address can be displayed on the screen by pressing the
address setting button on the remote control or on the identification screen via scrolling in the menu bar "General-Identification".)
4. Set the PC communication port number on which the RS232 cable is connected to.
5. Set the Baudrate of the PC equal to the Baudrate of the projector as follows:

Click "Detect". The PC tries to communicate with the projector on differents Baudrates until the projector returns an acknowl-
edgement. The detected Baudrate is filled out in the Baudrate drop down box.

Set, if a value lower than 9600 b/s is filled out, the Baudrate in the drop down menu to minimum 9600 b/s or recommended
115200 b/s. Simultaneously the Baudrate of the projector is set at the same value. (image 14-11)
Tip:
The minimum Baudrate to be used is 9600 b/s
The recommended Baudrate is 115200 b/s
6. Click the Browse button and browse to the previously downloaded source file (xxx.bin). (image 14-12)
7. Click the Download button to start the download process.

A successful download is indicated with a green spot in the right bottom corner of the download interface.

A failed download is indicated with a red spot in the right bottom corner of the download interface. (image 14-13)
