ISE User Guide
The MRC environment section, Figure 81 below, displays the MRC Fibre Channel port speed setting at the top
of the view. The Fibre Channel host port speed can be set to one of the following:
a. Fixed transfer speeds of 4 or 8 Gb/s for ISE-2, Hyper ISE, and ISE 7-Series.
b. Auto transfer speeds select the speed automatically in accordance with the T11 Auto-Negotiation stan-
dard; the ISE auto-negotiates with the Fibre Channel switch to determine and set the highest port speed
(2, 4, or 8 Gb/s) that both devices support.
Auto-negotiation is enabled by default at the factory. To change the FC Speed Setting, pull down the menu
and click the desired speed. Then click
the view.
