Start-up

S 2200 P with Piezo ignitor

1. Remove cowl cover (when installing with wall cowl)!
2. Open gas cylinder and quick-acting valve in gas supply line.
3. Move control knob (a) to spark symbol and push in. At
the same time, repeatedly press the piezo ignitor (c) until the
flame is burning.
Keep the control knob (a) held down for up to 10 seconds so
that the safety pilot responds.
4. Observe the flame through the Mica window for another
10 seconds to see whether the flame goes out or not due to
air in the line (caused by exchanging the gas cylinders).
It is imperative to wait for 3 minutes before re-
igniting, otherwise there is a risk of misfiring!
This also applies if a heater that is already in operation goes
out and is re-ignited.
5. Allow heater to burn for approx. 1 minute in the ignition
position (f) then set to "High" (g).
If the gas supply line is full of air, it may take up to a minute
before gas is available to burn. During this time the control
knob must be held down and the piezo ignitor operated con-
tinuously until the flame is burning.
6. The heating power is continuously adjustable at the control
knob (a) between the low setting (f) and the high setting (g).

S 2200 with auto ignitor

Before initial start-up, ensure that a battery has been inserted
(see "Auto ignitor battery change").
1. Remove cowl cover (when installing with wall cowl)!
2. Open gas cylinder and quick-acting valve in gas supply line.
3. Set control knob (a) to spark symbol (g) and press in. Igni-
tion takes place automatically in this position (ignition spark is
audible) until the flame is burning.
Hold down control knob for up to 10 seconds so that safety
pilot is activated.
In the event of a problem, wait for 3 minutes
before attempting to ignite again!
4. If the flame goes out again, immediate re-ignition takes
place during the safety pilot closing time (approx. 30 seconds).
5. Allow heater to burn for approx. 1 minute in the ignition
position then set to "High" (g).
If the gas supply line is full of air, it may take up to a minute
before gas is available to burn. During this time the control
knob must be held down until the flame is burning.
If no flame occurs, the auto ignitor continues operating until
the heater is switched off (h) at the control knob (a).
6. The heating power is continuously adjustable at the control
knob (a) between the low setting (f) and the high setting (g).

Switching off

Set control knob (a) to "0" (auto ignitor is switched off at
same time). If the heater is not going to be used for a long
period, close quick-acting valve in gas supply line and gas
cylinder.
With an installation with wall cowl (see Fig. C3) the cowl
grille (14) can be covered with the cowl cap (17 – Accessories)
in order to prevent penetration by water when the caravan is
being washed or if a storm occurs, for example.
In order to ensure that the warm air is distributed evenly
and quickly and to minimise the surface temperature of
the heater unit, we recommend operating the heater with
Truma fan and warm air system.

Maintenance

Should problems occur, please contact the Truma Service
Centre or one of our authorised service partners
(see www.truma.com).
In spite of careful manufacturing, the heater may have
sharp edges, therefore always wear protective gloves
during maintenance and cleaning work!
