Supply and inverter modules
Cleaning
The module heatsink fins pick up dust from the cooling air. The module runs into
overtemperature warnings and faults if the heatsink is not clean. In a "normal" environment
(neither especially dusty nor clean), the heatsink should be checked annually, in a dusty
environment more often.
WARNING! Obey the instructions in chapter
ignore them, injury or death, or damage to the equipment can occur.
1. Stop the drive (if running) and do the steps in section
(page 19) before you start the work.
2. Remove the cooling fan of the supply module as described under
this chapter.
3. Blow clean, dry and oilfree compressed air through the module from bottom to top,
simultaneously using a vacuum cleaner at the air outlet to trap the dust. Note: Prevent
the dust from entering adjoining equipment.
4. Refit the cooling fan.
Replacing a supply or inverter module
WARNING! Make sure the replacement module has exactly the same
type code as the old module. See also section
