Performing a Reload of the Access Point 200 Software
In order to download AP-200 software, you must have a wired Ethernet
connection to your AP-200. You may use either:
a cross-over Ethernet cable, or
a hub and two straight-through Ethernet cables; one from your PC
to the hub, and other from the hub to the Upper LAN port.
You will need a computer with the AP-200 software file already on it, or the
CD that shipped with your AP-200.
1. Perform the action described in Table 2-5.
2. Set your Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties on your computer to
use the following IP Address: 192.168.253.2, and subnet mask:
255.255.255.0. The default TFTP IP Address for your AP-200 is
192.168.253.1.
3. At the DOS command prompt, type:
tftp -i 192.168.253.1 put <path and filename of AP-200 software>
FIRMWARE
4. Wait until the file is loaded and the command prompt returns with
"Transfer successful".
5. Perform a "Revert to Last Known Good Configuration" of your
Access Point 200 for these changes to take effect.
6. Verify that the software version/configuration you have just loaded is the
expected result. The software version can be viewed on the Statistics
page of the Management Tool. If using the AP-200 CD-ROM to reload
your software, you should now upgrade to the latest software available
from your vendor.
