GENERAL
This section provides information on the procedures to be
followed and on the systems and controls to be used in the
event an emergency situation is encountered during
machine operation. Prior to operation of the machine and
periodically thereafter, the entire operating manual,
including this section, should be reviewed by all personnel
whose responsibilities include any work or contact with
the machine.
4.2
EMERGENCY TOWING PROCEDURES
Towing this machine is prohibited, unless properly
equipped. However, provisions for moving the machine, in
case of a malfunction or power failure, have been incorpo-
rated. The following procedures are to be used ONLY for
emergency movement to a suitable maintenance area.
1. Chock wheels securely.
2. Disengage drive hubs by reversing disconnect caps.
3. Connect suitable equipment, remove chocks, and
move machine.

4. After moving machine, complete the following proce-
dures:
a. Position machine on a firm and level surface.
b. Chock wheels securely.
c. Engage drive hubs by reversing disconnect caps on
hubs.
d. Remove chocks from wheels as needed.
