SECTION 3 - MACHINE CONTROLS, INDICATORS AND OPERATION

Platform Extension

The machine is equipped with either single or dual power
deck extensions, which add 4 ft (1.2 m) to the front or rear
of the platform, giving the operator better access to work-
sites. To extend the deck, select either the front or rear
deck extension select switch, depress the switch in con-
junction with the controller. Moving the controller forward
extends the deck and moving the controller backwards
retracts the deck. Maximum capacity for each deck exten-
sion is 500 lb (230 kg).
DO NOT 'LIFT DOWN' WITHOUT COMPLETELY RETRACTING THE PLATFORM
EXTENSION.

Power Deck

The power deck is operated through a non proportional valve.
When operating the power deck from the platform con-
trols, select front deck extension, rear deck extension or
both and activate the joystick forward to extend and back-
ward to retract.
NOTE: There is a 5 second time out after the joystick is released. If
one extension is selected and released the opposite deck
extension cannot be selected for 5 seconds.
