5 Select DHCP Server, and then enable or disable the
tester's DHCP server.
Enable the DHCP server when the customer's CPE is
configured to receive an IP address automatically.
6 If DHCP Server is enabled, perform the following steps.
a Enter the starting IP address for the tester's DHCP
server.
b Enter the pool size.
This is how many IP addresses the tester's DHCP
server may assign to other computers.
7 Select Media Type, then select the type of speed and
duplex type that your LAN uses.
The Auto selection will automatically detect the media
type.
8 Select Forward Multicast and then specify whether it is
enabled.
The LAN parameters are set.
After setting the test parameters, you can connect to the line.
To connect to the line
1 Connect one end of the test cable to the 8-pin jack on the
right-hand side of the HST-3000.
