3.5 Engine maintenance

Attention
!
Always switch off the engine when
checking the oil and when changing the
oil and the oil filter.
Engine oil check
1. Park the City Ranger 2250 on a level surface.
2. Check the oil level before the engine starts. (Picture 1)
3. Take the dipstick out, dry and put back.
4. Take the dipstick out again to read the oil level.
5. The oil level must be between the two lines on the
dipstick. (Picture 4)
6. Add oil if the oil level is below the bottom line.
7. Always make sure the machine has enough oil.
Topping-up the engine oil /Filling with engine oil
1. Remove filling cap on engine. (Picture 2)
2. Fill oil until the oil reaches the top line on the dipstick.
3. Wait approx. 5 minutes after adding the oil.
4. Then check the oil level again. It may take a little time
for the oil to reach the oil pan.
Engine oil change
The engine oil should be changed after the first 50 hours
of use. Changing the oil is easier when the engine is warm.
1. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan to release the
waste oil. (Picture 3)
2. Remember to replace the drain plug!
3. Fill with new engine oil until the level reaches the top
line on the dipstick.
Approx. 4.6 litres if the oil filter has been changed,
otherwise approx. 4.3 litres.
The oil filter is replaced.
