2.2 Start, drive and stop
Before start-up the following must be done:
1. The PTO front and PTO rear contacts must be engaged.
(Picture 1)
2. The towing valve must be closed. (Picture 2)
3. Operator must sit in the cab seat.
4. The brake pedal must be pushed all the way down
(section 1.9), or the handbrake engaged (section 1.6).
5. Turn the ignition key (clockwise) until the pre-heater
indicator and other indicators light up (section 1.6).
Once the pre-heater light goes out, the ignition-key can be
turned further to start the City Ranger 2250.
6. Release the brake pedal/handbrake.
7. The drive pedal can now be engaged.
Pedal movements:
Forward - The machine drives forward.
In middle position - Stop.
Back - The machine reverses.
Speed is variably adjusted. See section 1.9.
The function of the City Ranger 2250´s propulsion system
· The City Ranger 2250 must be expected to have operating changes within the first 25-50 hours of its
lifetime.
· The City Ranger 2250 is developed with controlled deceleration.
· The City Ranger 2250 is featured with hydrostatic propulsion and will react differently when the
oil /the machine is cold. The City Ranger 2250 is optimized to run at an operating temperature mode.
· The drive pedal can be used as a brake function.
· The stopping distance varies when the City Ranger 2250 is cold.
·A faint buzzing sound from the drive pedal can occur in some driving situations, and is quite normal.
