ENGINE REASSEMBLY

Reassemble the engine in the reverse order of disassembly. The
following steps require special attention or precautionary mea-
sures should be taken.
NOTE:
Apply engine oil to each running and sliding part before reas-
sembling.
• Install the O-rings (1 and 2) and dowel pins 3 in the correct
position as shown.
$
Replace the O-rings with new ones to prevent oil leak-
age.
• Install the oil pump 4 into the lower crankcase with the three
bolts and then tighten them to the specified torque.
NOTE:
Apply a small quantity of THREAD LOCK "1342" to the bolts.
# 99000-32050: THREAD LOCK "1342"
" Oil pump mounting bolt: 10 N . m (1.0 kgf . m, 7.0 lb-ft)
NOTE:
Make sure that the oil jets 5 in the lower crankcase are not
clogged.
• Install the gearshift cam stopper bolt 6.
NOTE:
Before installing the gearshift cam stopper bolt 6 , apply a small
quantity of THREAD LOCK "1342" to it.
