Adjusting the Shear Lever
Note that the shear lever 4 clamps down the wire alternately on
left and right.
If the wire is clamped down too weakly, watch the baler at work
to see on which lever side the wire is pulled away by the bales
as they form.



Twister Hook Setting
Align marking holes (see arrow in Figure 78) on both chain
wheels on the matching bore holes underneath, then lock chain
wheels with a pin through the bore holes. Fit chain over
correctly located wheels.
Let the machine run on until the needle has once again
placed the wire on that side of the lever 4 where it is not held
firmly enough.
Stop the machine and slacken locknut 5 (or 6), run down set
screw 7 (or 8) by ½ to 1 full turn until the wire is held firmly,
then secure again with nut 5 (or 6).
