3.4 Driving and Transport

The maximum speed permissible for road traffic results from the
national regulations in force in the user's country and the
technical limitations of the wheels.
Permissible maximum speeds of individual assembly groups do
not say anything about the permissible maximum speed of the
complete machine.
Any deviating national regulations must be observed.
Attention! Machine on public roads
Effect: Damage to the machine and danger of injury
Before travelling on public roads the following requirements
must be met:
 Pivot the draw-bar in which the baler is travelling behind the
tractor.
 In the case of a hydraulically* pivoted draw mechanism, lock
the tractor control valve by mechanical means.
 In the case of mechanical' draw-bar adjustment, make sure
that the pawl 4 (Figure 16) is securely engaged.
 Raise pick-up to its top position and secure pick-up by closing
the hydraulic valve at the hydraulic hose.
 Remove coarse dirt which might impair safety in road traffic.
 Remove any crop material hanging loosely from the machine.
 Test lighting set for correct functioning. Switch on lighting
system.
 Connect drive shaft to tractor PTO shaft.
 The wheel chocks which are part of the safety equipment are
to be carried on the machine at all times.
