The wide range of operating conditions means that we cannot
give precise rules of action for all possible circumstances.
Ground condition, swath density, condition of baling material,
improper handling or poor care of the machine can result in
malfunctions.
Our Customer Service department is available should you
experience a problem you cannot cope with. In general, though,
you should be able to handle most situations by referring to the
following table.

4.1 Faults and Remedies

Possible cause
Negotiating tight bends
Baler incorrectly attached
Baler overloaded
Slip-threshold torque too low
Overloaded by blockage,
pick-up clutch slipping
Touching the ground, pick-up
too low
Baler overloaded
Windguard tines bent
Damp baling material
Cutter blades blunt
Baling channel gummed up
Uneven compacting
Deflecting cross-feeder or
packer respond continuously

Troubleshooting

Remedy
Disengage PTO drive shaft in bends or use
wide-angle drive shaft
Attach baler correctly (Chap. 3.3.2)
Drive slower, gather less material
Have the clutch adjusted (Chap. 5.2.8)
Remove blockage, drive
slower, gather less material
Set pick-up higher (Chap. 3.5.3)
Drive slower, gather less material
Straighten windguard tines
Slacken bale density
Sharpen blades (Chap. 5.2.3)
Empty baling channel and clean inside
Alter packer quick adjustment or adjust
feeder tines (Chap. 5.2.5)
Drive tractor in next lower gear
