Treat wire coils with care. Regularly check that all wire guide
rollers move easily, grease as required.
Thoroughly lubricate twister drive chain 11 (Figure 72) at

frequent intervals. Chain tension is automatically set by tension
spring 12 and roller 13. If chain 11 is removed proceed as
follows:
Before refitting the chain 11, reset twister hook as in Figure 78.
Inspect edges of shear plate 14 and shear bar 15 (Figure 73)
for blunting or wear. Both are double edged and can be turned
round once before needing a regrind.
Remove protector cap out of deflector bar 16. Slacken nut 17
and bolts 18 and 19, remove deflector bar 16 and shear bar 15.
Turn shear bar 15 round and reassemble with deflector bar 16.
Slacken bolts 20, turn shear plate 14 round and refit.
Finally fit shear bar 15 with deflector bar 16 again and secure it.
