Evidential Breath Test Sequence

When you turn the 9510 on, an internal self-test is performed
and the following messages will be displayed on the display:
PLEASE WAIT
SELFCHECK
WARMING UP
NOT READY
The display will also provide the current psi of dry gas cylinder
1 and dry gas cylinder 2 in the lower-left corner.
When the instrument is ready to begin a Breath Test
Sequence, the instrument will beep, and "READY" will be
displayed on the display.
Depending on the length of time between Breath Tests or
fluctuations in room temperature, the instrument may have to go
through the WARM UP phase before performing a breath test.
If the screen is blank or the screen displays "STANDBY", tap on
the display to light up the screen, and press the start button to
begin the instrument's "WARM UP" phase.
Once the display shows "READY", press the green start button
to begin the test.
The instrument proceeds to the data entry sequence (if
applicable.) Follow the instructions on the display and enter the
appropriate data into each field following the prompts. Use the
"Next" and "Prev." buttons to scroll between the entries. Press
the "Stop" button at any time to abort the test by selecting
"Cancel Test" or "Continue" to return to the data entry
sequence. Press "Summary" to review all entered data on the
display, scroll down and then "Save" to save all entered data to
proceed to the next series of data entry or the breath test.
NOTE: The virtual keyboard will only be displayed if the USB
keyboard is not plugged into the instrument.

10.1 Data Entry Sequence
Press the Green button from the Ready screen to begin a test.
Before you begin the instrument will request information about
the test.
►Observation Start Time - Enter the time that you began
observation of the subject in military time and then press
Summary.
►Summary Screen - Review the time. If it is correct press
save.
►Operator Observed Subject Entire Time - Enter Yes or No
and press Next. If you enter No the test is cancelled; complete
the observation period correctly and begin again.
►Subject Smoke, Vomit, Put Anything in Mouth- Enter Yes or
No and press Next. If you enter yes the test is cancelled;
complete the observation period correctly and begin again.
►Citation/Case Number - Enter the number and press Next.
►County of Arrest - Select the county by pressing the
selection box and choosing the correct county and then press
Next.
►Crime Arrested For - Select the offense from the drop-down
menu and then press Next.
►Collision Involved - Select Yes or No and then press Next.
►Subject drinking at specific drinking establishment - Enter
Yes if they were drinking at a specific business location or No
if they were not and then press Next. If you selected Yes then
enter the name and location of the establishment in the fields
to run a search. Select the correct location and press OK. If
you selected No then a drop-down menu of other options will
appear. Select the appropriate option as to where they were
drinking and then press Next.
►PBT Given - Enter Yes or No depending on whether a
screening test was administered and press Next. If you
selected Yes then you will need to enter the time the screening
test was administered in military time and then press Next.
Then it will ask for the result of the screening test. Enter the
BAC recorded during the PBT and press Summary.
►Summary - Review the information entered and press Save
if it is correct. Note that you must scroll through all the
information before pressing Save.
