13.4 "ABA" Function

The testing for breath dynamics such as mouthalcohol,
minimum volume, minimum flow rate, and interfering
substances are best done with this test sequence.
The ABA (Air Blank, Breath Test, Air blank) Test allows for
convenient testing of breath test criteria.
Select the number of consecutive tests to be performed (Test
No.) and click "Save" to proceed or "Cancel" to return to the
menu.
The instrument will go through a purging cycle, and the
following messages will be shown on the Display:
PURGING
BLANK CHECK
AMBIENT AIR CHECK
When "PLEASE BLOW" appears on the display, a breath
sample should be provided. After the sample has been
provided, the following messages will be displayed on the
screen: STOP, REMOVE, MOUTHPIECE, PURGING, BLANK
CHECK, AMBIENT AIR CHECK.The results of the ABA will
appear on the display.
Depending on the number of tests selected, the instrument will
either proceed with another ABA or finish printing (on the
internal printer) and return to the "READY" mode.

13.5 "External Standard Change" Function
This function is used when replacing gas cylinders.
►Scan Operator Card (yes or no)
If no, ►Operator Last Name
►Operator First Name
►Operator Middle Initial
►Operator Agency Code
if yes, verify operator information is correct

►Install new cylinder?(yes, no or previous)
If yes, ►Change Cyl.1 or Change Cyl. 2
►Cylinder Lot Number
►Change Cyl. 2
►Re-enter
►Cylinder Concentration
►Re-enter
►Cylinder Expiration Date
►Re-enter
►Install new cylinder in position # and press OK
The instrument will proceed to perform external standard
checks on the newly installed cylinder. Once the external
standard has been verified an external printout is provided and
the instrument returns to "READY" mode.
The instrument will then decide which cylinder to assign as the
active (or primary) cylinder. If the expiration dates differ the
cylinder with the earlier expiration date will be primary. If both
cylinders share the same expiration date the cylinder with the
lowest psi will be made active.
