Cancellation
•
This transaction enables you to cancel the total amount of a purchase, purchase with withdrawal,
purchase with tip or purchase refund transaction in the current batch.
•
The cancellation function must be used when an error occurs during a transaction.
•
Before cancelling a transaction, always check the transaction record to verify whether the customer had
made a purchase with cash withdrawal to ensure you recover the amount that you previously gave to the
customer.
•
The administrative password is always required for this transaction.
For prepaid cards :
•
A PPC cancellation transaction enables the merchant to cancel the following transactions:
- PPC activation;
- PPC purchase;
- PPC credit note (if available through your PPC program).
•
A PPC cancellation transaction is only permitted in the current batch and may only be made on the
terminal that was used to make the original transaction.
•
Partial cancellations are not permitted.
•
The administrative password is always required for this transaction.
•
If required, the merchant must correct the purchase transaction (debit/credit) associated with the original
PPC transaction.
