Color Registration Adjust

11.7.1

Adjusting the color registration for cyan, magenta and yellow

The color registration can be adjusted if color shifts can be seen in the print result.
Each color can be adjusted for plain paper, thick paper 1, 2 or thick paper 3.
The procedure for adjusting the color registration is the same for cyan, magenta and yellow.
The following procedure uses A3-size plain paper to adjust the color registration for cyan.

The test pattern is printed on plain paper from a paper tray loaded with one of the following sizes (listed
in order of priority): A3 w, 11 × 17 w, A4 v or 8-1/2 × 11 v. Paper in the bypass tray cannot be selected.

Display the Administrator Management screen.

Touch [System Settings].
The System Settings screen appears.

Touch [Expert Adjustment].
The Expert Adjustment screen appears.

Touch [Color Reg. Adjustment].
The Color Registration Adjust screen appears.

Touch [Cyan].
The Color Registration Adjust (Cyan) screen appears.

Load the paper into the tray 1/2/3/4.

Press the [Start] key.
A test pattern is printed.

Check the distance from the reference black lines to the
cyan lines in the test pattern along the X and Y directions.
