In Case of Trouble

If the system hangs up
To reset the GX-1 if it hangs up, proceed as follows:
1.
Quit the attached software "GX Navi" and turn off the
power of the GX-1.
2.
Remove one of the signal conditioners from the GX-1 and
turn on the power of the GX-1.
3.
After the buzzer sounds three pairs of beeps, turn off the
power of the GX-1 again.
4.
Mount the signal conditioner removed in step 2 back to the
slot, and turn on the power of the GX-1.
5.
After the buzzer sounds three pairs of beeps, start the GX
Navi.
Note: The settings memorized in the GX-1 are reset. You must
set them again.
If system hangs with AIT inside
If the system hangs up with the AIT in the drive, reset the GX-1
following the steps below:
Note: The last data file may not be recovered.
1.
Wait for more than five minutes. Do not attempt to eject
the AIT.
2.
Quit the attached software and turn off the power of the
GX-1.
3.
Remove one of the signal conditioners from the GX-1 and
turn on the power of the GX-1.
4.
After the buzzer sounds three pairs of beeps, start the
attached software.
5.
When the message "One data file in this tape is not closed"
appears, click YES.
File closing begins. If the data is large, it takes some hours
to close the file.
6.
After the file is closed, quit the attached software and turn
off the power of the GX-1.
7.
Mount the signal conditioner removed in step 3 back to the
slot, and turn on the power of the GX-1.
8.
After the buzzer sounds three pairs of beeps, start the
attached software.
How to eject AIT if GX Navi hangs
1.
Quit GX Navi forcefully.
2.
Turn off the power of the GX-1.
3.
Turn on the power of the GX-1 and (without booting GX
Navi,) press the eject button on the AIT drive.
