22. The proper Insert surround can now be placed in position. Assemble surround by following
instructions supplied with surround kit. Surround kits are available for use with each model Mendota
Insert. Select the size of the surround to fill the area between the Insert and existing fireplace opening.

NOTE: INSTALLATION, SERVICING AND REPAIR MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON. THE
INSERT SHOULD BE INSPECTED AT LEAST ANNUALLY BY A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE PERSON. MORE
FREQUENT CLEANING MAY BE REQUIRED DUE TO EXCESSIVE LINT FROM CARPETING, BEDDING
MATERIAL, ETC. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE CONTROL COMPARTMENT BURNERS AND CIRCULATING
AIR PASSAGEWAYS OF THE INSERT BE KEPT CLEAN.
