Disconnecting VPN

Open the Notification panel

Select a notification of VPN connecting

When VPN is disconnected, the notification icon on
the status bar turns to gray. To reconnect, open the
Notification panel and select the notification.
◆ Stopping packet connection
･
Some applications automatically perform packet
communications. Packet communication is kept active
unless you disconnect it or the time-out is occurred.

From the Applications menu, [Settings]→
[Wireless & networks]→[Mobile networks]

[Data communiation] of widgets on the Home screen.→

Sound settings

◆ Setting Silent mode
Mute sounds such as mail ringtone, alarm, media play
sound, etc. that are emitted from the terminal.

From the Applications menu, [Settings]→
[Sound]→[Manner mode]

Mark [Enable manner mode]
Icons appear on the status bar. Icon varies by the
manner mode type. For each icon, see "Icons on the
status bar".→P27

Even in Manner mode, shutter sound are emitted.

Changing manner mode type

From the Applications menu, [Settings]→
[Sound]→[Manner mode]→[Select manner
mode]

Selecting an item
Manner mode : Mute sounds emitted from the
terminal.
Manner mode (Silent) : In addition to mute sounds,
turn off the vibration.
Manner mode (Alarm) : Sound alarm sound from the
terminal only. Vibrate turns to off except for being
set to "Always" in each application.
Original manner : Set sound volume and the vibration
for each sound type. Settings in Original manner
take precedence of sound volume/vibrate setting in
each application.
