Chapter 6

Replacing the CD-ROM

1. Remove the CD-ROM from the shipping container.
2. Make any settings required by the CD-ROM documentation.
3. With the cable connectors toward the rear of the chassis, guide the CD-ROM into the chassis
opening. (The CD-ROM is normally mounted in the second shelf.)
4. Attach the CD-ROM by securing the four screws at the chassis side.
5. At the rear of the CD-ROM, carefully connect the power and data cables.
6. Replace the bezel.
7. Replace the cover.
8. Fasten the six thumbscrews securing the cover to the chassis.
9. Replace the external cables and power cord.
10. Power up the NetServer as described in Chapter 1.
