Replacing the rear Wi-Fi antenna
To replace the rear Wi-Fi antenna, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 88.
3. Locate the rear Wi-Fi antenna. See "Computer components" on page 32.
4. Straighten the rear Wi-Fi antenna so that it can be more easily twisted.
5. Holding the thicker end of the rear Wi-Fi antenna, unscrew it from the rear Wi-Fi antenna cable connector.

6. Holding the thicker end of the new rear Wi-Fi antenna, screw it to the rear Wi-Fi antenna cable connector.

7. Adjust the angle of the rear Wi-Fi antenna to reduce the risk of breaking the antenna by accident.
