LOADING THE ENTIRE VOLUME

Once you have selected FLOPPY or HDSK, you will see these screens:
FL LOAD is an abbreviation of FLOPPY LOAD and HD LOAD is an abbreviation of HARD DISK
LOAD. ENT VOL indicates that you will load the entire volume (i.e. the entire contents of the
floppy disk or the selected hard disk volume). This will include samples, programs and any
multis or effects files that may be on disk. Pressing F2 will start the load process and you will
receive this prompt:
This is asking you if you want to erase everything that may currently be in memory and start
afresh with the contents of this floppy disk/hard disk volume or just add the contents of this
floppy disk/hard disk volume to whatever may be in memory.
If you wish to clear the memory, press F1 - CLEAR; if you want to add the contents of this disk
to the sounds currently in memory, press F2 - GO.
As the sounds are being loaded from disk, the LCD will be displaying the name of the item it is
currently loading:
After a short while (the exact time depends on the number and the size of the samples), the
data will be loaded and you should press SINGLE or MULTI to play these programs.
So, to recap
To load an entire floppy disk, press LOAD, F1 (FLOPPY), F2 (GO) and finally F1 (CLEAR) or F2
(LOAD).
To load a hard disk volume, press LOAD, F2 (HDSK), F2 (GO) and finally F1 (CLEAR) or F2
(LOAD).
Once the sounds are loaded, press SINGLE or MULTI to hear those sounds.

LOADING OTHER ITEMS FROM DISK

Of course, you may not wish to load the entire contents of the floppy disk or hard disk volume -
you may just want to load a single program and its samples to add to a multi or maybe just load a
single sample to add to a program. If you have the effects board installed, you may wish to load
the effects file from another floppy or hard disk volume to use with the programs and/or multi
you have just loaded. Such things are possible on the S2000 thanks to its flexible disk
handling routines.

LOADING A MULTI

You may also load a multi plus its associated programs and their associated samples. If the
effects board is fitted, the effects for the multi will also be loaded. To load a multi in this way,
press PAGE DOWN until you see this display:
