1.7.2 Printing Mechanism (SHTRIH-PRINT PV Models)

1.7.3 Loading Paper

To load a new label paper roll, do the following:
Make sure that paper characteristics of a new roll fit the printer: label length is within the range from 30
to 120 mm and the paper width is 60 mm;
Contact the system administrator to check what label length the scale is configured to operate with;
Remove the empty paper spool from the feeding unit of the printer 1;
Open the thermal head of the printer:
▪ In SHTRIH-PRINT, SHTRIH-PRINT M, and SHTRIH-PRINT FI models, push the thermal head release
latch 3 until you hear a click – the latch remains depressed (see
▪ In SHTRIH-PRINT PV model, turn the lever 2 counter clockwise, the thermal head will open (see

Take off the fixing clamp from the take-up unit (5 in
the remaining paper from the mechanism;
If you use receipt paper, take off the outer spool of the feeding unit 1 by pulling it up off the pivot 1, then
put a new receipt paper roll on the pivot of the feeding unit 1;
If you use label paper, fix a new label paper roll on the outer spool of the feeding unit 1 and route the
paper through the printer slot. Arrows on the printer unit indicate the proper feeding direction of the
paper;
Make sure that the further edge of the paper inserted in the printer slot reaches the printer base;
Close the thermal head:
▪ In SHTRIH-PRINT, SHTRIH-PRINT M, and SHTRIH-PRINT FI models, bring together the closing
levers of the thermal head 4 until you hear a click (see
