Remove your foot from the expression pedal and make sure the expression pedal is in its
natural resting position.
Tap the Previous footswitch to set the Lo calibration point.
Move the expression pedal's treadle to its maximum position with the toe of the treadle all
the way down.
Remove your foot from the expression pedal and make sure the expression pedal is in its
natural resting position.
Tap the Next footswitch to set the Hi calibration point.
After you have completed these steps, the calibration should be complete. Press the Confirm button
to save changes.
IMPORTANT! In order to function correctly, the Lo value must always be smaller than the Hi value.
It is possible to create "dead zones" on either side of the expression pedal's range of motion. To do
so, simply limit the range of motion you use during the calibration process. To create a "dead zone"
in the heel position, for example, depress the heel of the treadle about 90% of the way (as desired)
and then press the Previous footswitch to set the Lo calibration point. This means that the expression
pedal will be at its lowest value slightly before the heel of the treadle is completely depressed. You
can also use this method for the Hi calibration point to create a "dead zone" in the toe position.
Global Input MIDI Channel
The Global MIDI Channel determines the MIDI channel for the MIDI input on the Soleman. The same
channel applies using the 5-pin DIN hardware jack and the USB-MIDI interface. The Soleman will
respond to Program Changes and Note ON messages that are sent to it to recall individual Panels and
Scenes, respectively.
