Using the D-Shell Connector, connect the DC power cable to the first supply.
2.
Hand-tighten the thumb screws at the top and bottom of the shell.
3.
Securely connect the wire labeled Ground to an appropriate earth ground.
4.
Connect the other two wires to the appropriate outputs of a DC power source.

Network cabling

Intra-building connections of the server requires the use of shielded cables grounded at both ends.

metallically connected to interfaces that connect to the Outside Plant (OSP) or the wiring. These
interfaces are designed for use as intra-building interfaces only (Type 2 or Type 4 ports, as described
in GR- 1 089-CORE, Issue 4) and require isolation from the exposed OSP cabling. The addition of
primary protectors is not sufficient protection to connect these interfaces metallically to OSP wiring.

DC Power cable color codes

Each DC power cable is shipped with a label that describes each lead. The label is located near
the pigtail leads. The three leads are described in the following table:
