Chapter 4: AMI BIOS
Wait For 'F1' If Error
Select Enabled to force the system to wait until the <F1> key is pressed when an
error occurs. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
INT19 Trap Response
Interrupt 19 is the software interrupt that handles the boot disk function. When this
item is set to Immediate, the ROM BIOS of the host adaptors will "capture" Interrupt
19 at bootup immediately and allow the drives that are attached to the host adap-
tors to function as bootable disks. If this item is set to Postponed, the ROM BIOS
of the host adaptors will not capture Interrupt 19 immediately to allow the drives
attached to the adaptors to function as bootable devices at bootup. The options
are Immediate and Postponed.
Re-try Boot
Select EFI Boot to allow the BIOS to automatically reboot the system from an EFI
boot device after the initial boot failure. Select Legacy Boot to allow the BIOS to
automatically reboot the system from a Legacy boot device after its initial boot
failure. The options are Disabled, Legacy Boot, and EFI Boot.

Power Configuration

CPLD Watch Dog Function
Select Enabled to allow the CPLD (Complex Programmable Logic Device) Watch
Dog timer to reboot the system when it is inactive for more than 5 minutes. The
options are Enabled and Disabled.
Watch Dog Function
Select Enabled to allow the Watch Dog timer to reboot the system when it is inac-
tive for more than 5 minutes. The options are Enabled and Disabled.
Power Button Function
This feature controls how the system shuts down when the power button is pressed.
Select 4 Seconds Override for the system to power off after the user presses and
holds the power button for 4 seconds or longer. Select Instant Off to instantly power
off the system as soon as the user presses the power button. The options are 4
Seconds Override and Instant Off.
Restore on AC Power Loss
Use this feature to set the power state after a power outage. Select Power Off for
the system power to remain off after a power loss. Select Power On for the system
power to be turned on after a power loss. Select Last State to allow the system
to resume its last power state before a power loss. The options are Power On,
Stay Off, and Last State.
