Hold the shutter button halfway down to lock the
auto focus. A small green circle
upper right corner of the monitor. If you wish, you
can now move your subject off-center without
altering the focus.

Press the shutter button the rest of the way down
to take the photo.

Hold the camera still until the status light above
the LCD monitor comes back on, or until the
camera beeps. Then release the shutter button.
When you press the shutter button, the monitor
freezes and displays the picture until the camera
finishes processing it. You can delete the image
while it is being displayed on the monitor by
pressing the bottom button at the right side of the
monitor (Delete appears next to this button).
After the status light turns green, you can take
another photo.

Using the digital zoom feature

Your PhotoPC 800's digital zoom feature allows you
to double the size of your images. Follow the steps
below.

Open the lens cover and turn the camera's dial
switch to

Press the button next to the ×1 that appears on the
LCD monitor. A yellow frame appears around the
previewed image and DIGITAL ZOOM appears
briefly in the center of the monitor.
If you want to use the digital zoom and
continuous shooting features together, turn the
dial switch to

Frame your subject in the LCD monitor and press
the shutter button.
