Other dial positions
To perform other camera operations, turn the dial
switch to any of the bottom icons.

Making basic settings

The three small buttons on top of the camera allow you
to easily make a few basic settings. You can make these
settings when the camera's dial switch is set to one of
the orange icons.
Changes the image quality setting. See
"Adjusting the image quality" on page 2-7 for
details.

Taking Pictures
Changes the flash setting. See "Setting the flash"
on page 2-8 for details.
Turns the self timer on and off. See "Using the
self timer" on page 2-6 for details.
Note:
Using EPSON Photo!3, you can also take photos and make
basic settings from a computer to which the PhotoPC 800
is properly connected. See the EPSON Photo!3 User's
Guide for more details.

Taking Pictures Using the Viewfinder

Follow the steps below.
1.
Open the lens cover and turn the camera's dial
switch to
. Then wait until the shooting light
beside the viewfinder turns green.
Using the viewfinder instead of
the LCD monitor when taking
pictures helps save battery
power, and can make it easier
for you to hold the camera
steady when pressing the
shutter button.
