Electrical system

13 To install the electrical system
13.1 Position the PCB and wiring in the mechanism housing (4).
13.2 Push the battery connectors (10) onto the battery housing (3), observing correct polarity. Push
the battery housing into the mechanism housing (4)
13.3 Position the LED (8) in its housing.
13.4 Position the PCB (9) in the upper and lower PCB housings (5, 7).
13.5 Push the push-button cap (7) onto the switch on the PCB mounting.
13.6 Position wires and secure with self-adhesive PTFE film in positions noted during disassembly.
13.7 The remaining components of the electrical system are installed later.

Balance mechanism

14 To install the balance mechanism
14.1 If removed, secure buffer (29) to spring end cap (31) using Loctite 495. Ensure components are
concentric.
14.2 If removed, press glacier bearing (27) into spring actuator shaft (33). Assemble spring actuator
shaft in adjustment slide (34) and secure with dowel pin (26), using tool
centralize pin.
14.3 Lubricate balance mechanism components as follows:
14.3.1 Thrust bearing (12) and spring actuator shaft (33) - Castrol LM grease.
14.3.2 Thread of balance knob (9) - Easyrun 50 grease.
14.4 Degrease the threaded bore of actuator shaft (33) and thread of screw (30).
14.5 Install spiral ring (10) on balance knob (9) and screw into adjustment slide (34).
14.6 Position spring (32), assembled buffer/spring end cap (29/31) on spring actuator (28). Apply
Loctite 222E to thread of screw (30) and install. Tighten screw lightly.
14.7 Position assembled spring actuator in the mechanism housing (8).
14.8 Install a thrust washer (11), the thrust bearing (12) and a second thrust washer (11) in the
mechanism housing (8).
14.9 Slide assembled balance knob/adjustment slide/actuator shaft into the mechanism housing/
spring actuator, ensuring slot in adjustment slide is to the left.
