4.4.12.2 Disassembly of Carriage Assy

REMOVING THE CR TIMING BELT
1.
Remove the Carriage Assy. (p.116)
2.
Turn the Belt Holder Fixing Plate while lifting its hook and remove it from the Timing
Belt Holder. (See Figure 4-56)
3.
Remove the Timing Belt Holder, together with the CR Timing Belt, from the Carriage
Assy, and then detach the Timing Belt.
Install the CR Timing Belt to the Timing Belt Holder in such a way
that the portion provided with teeth on both sides is engaged with
the holder. In doing so, the flat side of the belt must be positioned
outside.
REMOVING THE CR ENCODER BOARD AND PW SENSOR
1.
Remove the Carriage Assy. (p.116)
2.
Remove the Encoder Cover (hooks x4) from the Carriage Assy.
(See Figure 4-57)
3.
Disconnect the FFC (PW Sensor) from the Encoder Board.
4.
Remove the screws (x2), and remove the Encoder Board.
5.
Remove the screw, and remove the PW Sensor Cap.
6.
Remove the PW Sensor from the Carriage Assy.
